Men's C1 Teams - Collated Flash Quotes

Australian Canoeing Media Services, Monday, 3 October 2005
Pierre Labarelle (FRA) - Gold Medal
On whether he thought he could win before the race:
"Yeah sure, in our dreams."

How he felt during the race:
"It was difficult, hard to tell what was going to happen. We had a hard course and difficult win so you never know how things will work out."

Jan Benzien (GER) - Silver Medal
On their silver medal:
"It's good but we were so close to winning. It was too close and we made some big mistakes. I'm a little happy and a little disappointed. Silver is good but gold is better. Silver is still OK."

On getting a medal after just missing a medal in the individual event:
"Two would have been nice but one is good. I was unhappy on Saturday but today was better."

Stanislav Jezek (CZE) - 3rd Place
On winning bronze:
"It is good to finish the world championships with this result but it would be nicer if it was gold."

On his team:
"This is a new team and we did okay. We had two penalties but they were my mistakes ."

Tomas Indruch (CZE) - 3rd Place
On their Bronze Medal:
"Bronze is Ok but we had a very bad second run. If we do the same as the first, we win gold. But that didn't happen, so it's alright."
